Born in Birmingham, central England 1961 Jane still lives in the Midlands.
Always keen on creative crafts she is also accomplished in embroidery and cross-stitch.
She is mostly self trained in watercolour leaving school with just an O'level in Art plus seven others.
Jane has had a varied career which has included some lecturing. Presently she cares full time for her disabled husband which keeps her at home but allows her time to develop her art further.
Jane has a wide rage of interests which include collecting dolls houses and amateur dramatics.
Jane began to paint watercolours in 1999. Bored with sitting by the canal when taking her husband fishing she bought a small pad and paint box with just one brush. These first paintings show just how inexperienced she was.
After reading a few books she showed some improvement.
This was followed by a course with a local artist Louise Griffin.
And a leisure course at the local college.
Now days Jane paints for herself but continues to read books by other artists.
Jane is also available for commissions, private lessons, and demonstrations.
